(1) Feature of organic glass plate
1. Very good transparency
Organic glass plate is colorless and transparent. Its transparency is the foremost one in all plastics. Its transmittance is more than 92%.
2. Good weather resistance
Good adaptability to natural environment. Long time under sunlight, wind and rain, its property will not change. Good aging resistance, it can be used safely outdoors.
3. Good mechanical processability
Good dimension stability. The product will be beautiful and smooth after formation processing or fitting processing.
4. Light, safe in use
As compare with glass, it 's density is the half of that of glass, but the effects of use is just the same. Moreover, it will not scatter even if it should break, so it is safe in use. Just for this advantage, it is used widely as construction material to substitute ceramics.
5. Non-toxic
Long time contact with persons will cause no harm. Gases emitted during burning (under complete burning conditions, carbon dioxide and water vapor are formed) are not poisonous.
6. Easy to process
Very easy to carry out the secondary processing, such as heating processing, mechanical processing, vacuum shaping, printing and coating. High degree of freedom for design.
(2) Feature of PS plate
1. Good transparency
PS plate is colorless and transparent, only second to PMMA plate. Transmittance
is more than 85 %.
2. It has certain mechanical strength, rigidity and hardness, but is fragile, endures no
impact.
3. Easy to be colored.
4. Secondary processing is possible.
5. All properties are just second to PMMA plate.
